Guests are invited to walk down to the beautiful Pahan Kanuwa Temple, located in a nearby village. Visitors can walk around the tranquil grounds and learn more about Buddhist culture and the tales and myths surrounding the temple’s origins and why it was first built.
The temple snakes around a stream and the structures are stunningly built into the surrounding rocks. Idyllically set on the edge of a large paddy field in the valley, this experience is a fantastic way to explore the local area and meet some villagers along the way.
The walk takes around 40 minutes from our property and slightly longer on the way back. The bicycle ride is much quicker there but again, is more challenging on the way back. Arrangements can be made to collect guests if they did not wish to walk back.
