Our ethos is to run an estate with minimal impact on the environment, whilst ensuring that the families living on the estate have an improved quality of life. It is only a few years ago since the area was connected to the grid for electricity and we are working to improve living and accommodation standards. A proportion of our profit is used for local community initiatives.
We work with two local schools and the local village through community initiatives, whether that is paying for the new school uniforms, blackboards or ongoing repairs on the school. We strive to continue to better the lives of those in the local area and welcome any guests who would also like to lend a helping hand. In 2018 we helped to refurbish the local community centre, providing a new roof. If you would like the chance to visit the schools, or village, this can be arranged prior to arrival.
Our Guests are invited to join us in our goal to support children’s education by bringing with them educational items including books, pencils and educational toys.
In more recent times we have supported our local community with food parcels in response to the economic crisis in the country and job losses following the fire at our local tea factory. We have now developed a long term strategy to economically support our local community through the Rosyth Foundation and Artisanal Tea.
